This is an absolutely lovely property. It is tastefully designed, every detail is considered, the rooms are clean and Big, the bathroom is finished with all needed and clean and modern (felt quite good to bé again in a level of comfort and cleaness closer to our life back home). The food is good, I particularly Liked the cinnamon tea they served as you arrive. We did the spice trail.on the property very informative. Really a great stay.

A very beautiful place — the room was clean, modern, and equipped with everything we needed. There was a lovely garden all around, a natural water reservoir nearby, and a wonderful restaurant. Breakfast was delicious and served in the restaurant in a charming setting. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful; he welcomed us with coffee upon arrival and showed us all the local attractions. I highly recommend this place!

We spent two nights in this homestay, and it was the first time since our trip to Sri Lanka that we had a real homestay experience, spending time with this lovely family and chatting. The hosts are very attentive; they gave us fruit and juice to taste. The dinner she prepared was absolutely delicious and very generous. The house is huge and very beautiful, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the balcony is very pleasant. We felt really good in this place. We highly recommend spending a few nights here. If you have your own transportation or are willing to pay for a driver/guide, the experience will be even better as you will be able to visit the surrounding area. However, we were not in this situation but we traveled by local bus and were able to arrive from the coast and leave for Ella. We were also able to go to the beautiful Diyaluma waterfall by taking the bus to Haputale for a day trip.

Nobel Regency está ubicado en Bibile, a 46 km de Parque Nacional Maduru Oya, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis y una terraza. A bit hard to find, behind some shops and apartments, you have to go under the building through, well, a short tunnel really. Maps is fairly accurate so just look for a gap in the building. On the other side is an old house which is the Nobel Regency which should have seemed "hemmed in" by the apartments, but it wasn't as it is set in lovely gardens with many plants. It's an old house with old furniture, retro but very comfortable. Multiple common areas both inside and outside. I had a very big room with a huge bathroom which was original to the house and dated, a bit of a time-warp really, but very clean and perfectly comfortable. Good a/c and fan. Hot water and good water pressure. Comfortable bed. I was hot and tired from my motorbike journey and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They bought me a welcome drink. After I had showered, I asked for tea and a snack, and they bought me fruit and then tea and cake on the verandah. Nothing was too much trouble. I sat and read a book and they kept checking that I was comfortable and had everything that I wanted. I did notice that one of the rooms was small because they had added an en-suite bathroom in a sort of prefabricated unit inside the room. That seemed a bit unusual. But I suppose it is perfectly functional. It is an inexpensive place to stay. Very good Sri Lankan curries and rice dinner, fruit and dessert. Breakfast was also very good. This was a perfect choice for me. I didn't explore the town as I was only on a stopover for one night, and I left early the next morning. It was very comfortable with good food and fantastic hosts.

Forest Tree Top Holiday Resort ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, un jardín, una terraza y un bar. Templo de Kataragama queda a 36 km de distancia. Bhatiya and his family are excellent, such good hosts and serve amazing food. We stayed with them for one night on their 20 acre fruit farm and had such a good time. Bhati offered to pick us up from Buttala, then we got to their place around midday. This gave us time for a delicious lunch, followed by a walking tour of the farm to see the crops and all the surrounding nature, and a sunset drive to some local lakes to see some excellent bird life. You get to sleep in an open sided building on the first floor, and feel really in touch with nature listening to the sounds of the night. Next day, Bhati took us on a safari in his own safari jeep to Yala (Galge entrance) for a fair price. He was such a knowledgeable guide, we saw loads of animals and had a great time (including amazing food again for breakfast and lunch). While we weren't lucky enough to see a leopard on this occasion, we were on the trail of the alarm calls for one but it went deeper into the bush. We really appreciated going to the part of Yala that we did - while it's harder to spot leopards using the Galge entrance than the more popular entrances further south, we valued being one of 10-15 vehicles we saw that day, instead of one of 100-200 that often enter the more popular blocks. All in all, an amazing experience, and a definite highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka.
