The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel at home right away. My partner and I were so satisfied that we even extended our trip just to enjoy more time here. Truly a hidden gem for anyone visiting the area! 🌿✨

Although the guesthouse is like 1.3 km away from Kuala Tahan, the owner always drove and picked us up when needed - unproblematic and as good as an accomodation at the center of Kuala Tahan

Situated in Taman Negara, Balai Serama Guesthouse offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation. Surrounded by lush greenery, it features a restaurant and provides free parking space on site. I was a little bit sceptical about the included half board option but it turned out to be the best decision. There were quite a lot of options to choose from and it was delicious. Also I usually do not book tours from hotels due to overpricing but it seemed they have regullar price + it was a nice lift forward and backward in a Hilux trunk seats. My family also liked a very nice and maintained tropical garden.

The room was spotless and was equipped with a kettle, coffee, fridge, place to hang clothes and shower gel/ wash. Really comfortable bed too, we slept so well! Good value for money overall.

Extremely friendly and helpful host. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, the location was extremely convenient. Just a short walk from a really nice breakfast café and the river bank where all tours start. This is a rather basic accommodation, but we knew that and the value for money is excellent. Highly recommend to get one of the rooms with aircon. The others have ceiling fans, but it does get hot and stuffy.
