Our host worked hard to connect with us, and to make our stay a good one. He had to balance caring for each of the people staying there. And, of course, he has his own family he must not ignore. The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

Namaste Home Stay ligger i Dhulikhel og har en have, terrasse, en restaurant og bar. Her er roomservice og en døgnåben reception samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Pensionatet har familieværelser. Such a cozy, and homely place. I immediately felt safe after meeting the family and their beautiful children. The beds were incredibly comfortable, shower was great and warm, with a clean toilet, the view and location made it a 10, as the bedrooms can look to either the sunrise or sunset. And to top it off, the food was insane - best Nepali veg curry I’ve ever had.

Nirvana Kuti ligger i Katmandu, 2,5 km fra Swayambhu og 3,5 km fra Swayambhunath. Overnatningsstedet ligger 5 km fra Patan Durbar-pladsen, 6 km fra Pashupatinath og 7,6 km fra Boudhanath Stupa. I stayed in Nirvana Kuti following the recommendation of Linda, a wonderful woman that I met in Delhi airport. She was indeed accurate: Nirvana Kuti is such a beautiful accomodation, comfortable, clean and pretty new. It was easy to feel home. Besides the comfort of the room, with a big, warm bed, with views to the temple just in front of the house, it is located just a few steps from Durbar square, in a very calm street. I slept extremely well and woke up to the beautiful views. Life is magical and I met Bobby, the owner of Nirvana Kuti, even before my stay. He kindly offered me a ride to Nirvana Kuti, and he made it very easy for me to feel home. Even more, he also allowed me to stay a bit longer because my bus was leaving in the evening. I appreciate Bobby's kindness and the beautiful taste in which the house is built. It is both comfortable and stylish, and the location couldn't be better. Thank you Bobby for making of my last days in Kathmandu (for this time) a beautiful experience and see you next time ♡

Laxmi Homestay with main square view ligger 2 minutters gang fra Bhaktapur Durbar-pladsen og tilbyder indkvartering med en terrasse, en restaurant og roomservice. Der er gratis wi-fi overalt. The host, Nivan was one of the best hosts I’ve met. He took such pride and care into his guests, he toured us around at his own will and time, providing lovely knowledge and history in the culture of Bhaktapur. He even invited us to join him on his meditation, which was an experience in its own. I stated during the time of Dashain, a festival in Nepal. Nivan hosted a family dinner, which was delicious, and very traditional, as he explained they only eat like that during festivals. 10/10 experience. The location is also perfect, as you are a one minute walk from the square, and can see that along with the beautiful Himalayas, on the rooftop, where Nivan will most likely bring you tea, and explain more of the history and culture behind it. If you are looking for a good cultural experience, a good view, good location, anything, this is the place for you!!

Jungle Crown Organic Homestay ligger i Nagarkot, 10 km fra Bhaktapur Durbar-pladsen og 18 km fra Boudhanath Stupa, og har en have, en terrasse samt en bar. I loved everything about this place, Mr Keshab and his family are wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond to provide the most outstanding service and comfortable stay. The property is situated in the most beautiful, peaceful serenity overlooking the valley. The views are stunning, the rooms are clean, cosy and very comfortable equipped with hot water. The location is great. I am so glad I stayed here rather than in the town of Nagarkot itself, which is also within walking distance. It’s so peaceful and amongst the forest. Hiking trails, waterfalls and suspension bridge all on your doorstep. I ended up staying 7 nights and also ate here everyday. The food is absolutely delicious, the best food I have eaten in the all of Nepal. I highly recommend asking for a traditional breakfast over your regular eggs on toast. Everyday had a different touch and was so so tasty. Mr Keshab took me to watch sunrise and this was just magical. I highly recommend staying here. I can’t thank him and his beautiful family enough. It really feels like a home away from home. I was sad to leave. This has been my favourite stay in the whole of Nepal. I will forever return when I come back to Nepal.

Tise Hotel ligger i Katmandu, 7 minutters gang fra Boudhanath Stupa, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. Der var rart og trygt at være. Sød personale, rent på værelset, dejligt med AC, god bruser på badeværelset. Jeg er meget tilfreds.

STUPA VIEW INN ligger i Katmandu, 5 minutters gang fra Swayambhu, og har en have en terrasse. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. Second time stayed here, as great as ever. Cool person in charge always in answering my query without miss. 24 hours hot shower, clean bed, and necessary amenities are just around the corner. New paint and decorations making the space more warm and uplifting. Still the best in its class in Swayambu.

Very helpful hosts that provided me with a lot of recommendations! They weren’t pushy either even though I opted not to do a trek with them. Awesome homestay experience!
