This is an incredible place to stay! I have been fortunate to travel to many places over the years and this is one of the most genuine experiences I have had. It is based in a local area, a lot more calm than busy Thamel and gives you more insight into how local people in Kathmandu live. You can walk into Thamel or can get a taxi/bike easily with the inDrive app. The rooms are comfortable, there is very good wifi and there is an incredible view from the rooftop. Nir and his family will really look after you, but at the same time give you as much space as you need to do your own thing. They will make it feel like your home where you can relax and whatever you do, try their meals in their kitchen…..you will not regret it! I thoroughly recommend a stay at peace homestay.

I didn’t expect much from the place I booked just a couple of hours before arriving. But apparently it is a place where I want to come back. The rooms and service were good, but as a traveler my expectations are quite low and I don’t really pay much attention to such things. What always matters more to me are the people, warm conversations and the shared experiences. And I got exactly that! In such a short time, I was leaving the guys as if they were my friends. He puts a lot of energy into giving his guests the best experience and is very passionate about what he does. The room was also very comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better.

I really like the location, which was much quieter than other parts of Kathmandu, close to the Buddhist stupa and with really nice cafes and restaurants nearby.

Rabina and her family made us feel truly at home: their kindness, calm energy, and attention to detail created a peaceful haven in the middle of Kathmandu’s lively chaos. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the rooftop offered a lovely space to relax, and breakfast was fresh and generous. Communication with Rabina was always easy and warm, both before and during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic hospitality and genuine connection with local life.
