The room was comfortable, clean and the A/c worked well. The house had a lovely courtyard with a pool to cool off in. You can also use the kitchen which has a good range of modern appliances. The artwork around the house was varied and interesting. It is also only a five minute walk from the airport which was handy for our flight to Lima. Although it would seem inconvenient for the city, we felt that it was better to pay a few Soles for the mototaxi to get into town and also have the entertainment of the ride through the traffic. It was worth the 20 minute ride to get to this haven of tranquility.

Before even arriving, we appreciated Chip & Yessica’s prompt responses to our questions & their efficiency in arranging details like airport pick-up. The hostel is in a great location. It has amazing views over the river. Conveniently located behind a fruit & vegetable market, it is also only a block or so from the scenic Malecon & the main historic plaza. The hostel is magical. The high-ceilinged rooms are completely covered with vividly coloured murals. It reeks of charm. We took a room with a private bathroom. It was huge & the one wall was solid window looking out onto the river. The room is well-appointed with a bar fridge, reading lamps, etc. linens & great wifi provided. The common room (where an excellent breakfast can be served) also has these amazing windows & views. Chip speaks English & he & Yessica have been in Iquitos a long while so can answer all questions.

Host was friendly welcoming and attentive, made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

This place is just amazing. A little bit far from center, but still, not too much. The two terraces on the top are both very nice. They have a kitchen with everything you need, you can really cook yourself proper meals. The place is very clean, also you can have your room cleaned every day if you want. They also provide laundry, take your clothes in the morning and have them ready by the end of the day for very cheap price. And Sara/Sarisa is an amazing host, she helped me with everything, she waited for me first day I came and the last day I have an early flight, so I had to get up in the middle of the night. She woke up at 3:30 and called me a mototaxi. She is very welcoming and ready to help with whatever you need. Totally recommend it!!!
