We had the pleasure of staying at Fare Tapu for three nights and absolutely loved our time there. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely hosts who made us feel right at home. Our room was beautiful, featuring a private bathroom, a charming balcony, and a lovely view overlooking the swimming pool. After days spent exploring the island, the pool was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Fare Tapu offered the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and genuine warmth. We would love to come back and stay again — highly recommended!

You are in the middle of a very-very authentic Raiatea experience. It is like living in paradise. You indeed have a private beach, you have a free kayak, you can kayak to the public motu. BUT NOTE THAT CURRENTS CAN BE TOUGH, so don't try to kayak to the motu in bad weather. We did try, but turned back :) Otherwise, the water is crystal clear, a lot of fishes - basically you book yourself a constant snorkel access here. There is also a shop nearby. Please DO NOTE that this is not a private accomodation - your hosts living nearby should be taken literally, and shared kitchen is not shared with other guests, but with the hosts , a family, who run the place. That is choose this wisely - if you do want privace, this is not your place. If the hosts cook or have dinner outside, you don't want to tell them to do it otherwise. But if you do want a very authentic experience, this is your place. We do not speak French, so besides basic info we did not speak much with our hosts - but if you do speak this language, you will learn a lot from them, I guess they can teach you cook Tahiti / Chinese meals, share a lot of stories about the island etc.

I had a hard time finding the Bellevue and the manager came down to Dream Yacht to have us follow her back. The property is on a hill and has a great view of the sea. The room was clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. A nice quiet outside seating. One downside is no A/C. But there are powerful fans that keep the air moving and I had no trouble sleeping. We left our hats behind and the manager will bring them to Dream Yachts when we are done. This is not an upscale hotel but a more rustic peaceful setting. Knowing French would be helpful but I got along fine with Google translator.

Such a happy and welcoming host. He drove me to the shop as soon as I arrived since I had to buy some food before it closed. The excursion he organised of the lagoon is the best one I have done in French Polynesia. The bed is also the best I had slept in during my month-long trip. The kitchen is big, clean and has all necessary instruments for cooking.

Baptiste and his mother were amazing hosts we felt right at home right away. Their home is so clean and beautiful setting. It was so relaxing and we had a later pick up and rhey let us stay to lounge around for the day. Very nice. There was a great market only a few minutes away to pick up some groceries and a fabulous gourmet restaurant also within walking distance. But most of all they are really really great hosts. Right from the start of booking Baptiste helped me with questions about evrry little thing i was worried about for our stay on the island and our connections. He arranged our airport transfer and our transfer to our next destination. It was first class service.
