Baan Jaru is located 500 metres from Clock Tower. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and free public parking. Great value for money! The place was super clean, and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful — gave me lots of great tips on what to see and do around Chiang Rai. The breakfast was also quite good. I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend it.

We had a nice big blue room with sofa. There is also a nice garden place for breakfast. You can walk to Blue temple (before 19h there are no other people) and great restaurant Chivit Thamma from there. Recommended !

The food!!! WOW! Dinner and breakfast came with the booking and it was such a feast of flavor. The view from the room while soaking in a tub was more than I could have hoped for. Also, I was greeted by puppies :-) Honestly I don't know if I would have this place on my own. My previous host set it up for me (above and beyond!) as he knew I was keen on the mountains and local foods. The drive up the mountain should be left to those who know it, quite steep with sharp curves. The town itself is a quiet gem specializing in coffee. Really, a lovely place with kind people hosting. I highly recommend! If you can, stay at least two nights, one just is not enough.
