(there are only 3 home stays on the bay as far as we know) . It is different to being on a cruise, as you are in a fixed location and you are experiencing what it is like to live on the water. If you want a unique experience, get a boat tour for the day from cat Ba and stay here over night,

Far away from the horrible construction site in Cat Bat where they absolutely destroy the island with shitty luxury resorts and a dock for cruise ships. This is a lovely place of peace. The owners are friendly and helpful. Every bungalow has a little terrace where you can chill. Everything was clean. Every evening the owners offer a foot bath. At the restaurant you can drink and eat anytime. You can directly rent scooters or book tours and buses at the reception.

Fantastic quality scooters and they can organise trips and transport.. Accommodation is very clean and the breakfasts are lovingly created and local Vietnamese traditional food. Don't hesitate to book this place, it's amazing!!!

Very nice location, clean, very lovely staff. The family who operates the hostel is so nice and helpful and lovely. They helped me to find my lost bag on the othwr side of Island. Extremely nice people. They have good breakfast as well and the price is reasonable for rge rooms.
