United KingdomA party of 4 two couples, driving from Sofra Kolonjare along SH75, roads were good and sat nav took us to the site. We stopped at the Melesin distillery at Leskovik which is very posh, there is also a hotel there. Then to the thermal springs the road is good single track for about 4Km then unmade for about 3Km parking is random. Walk along the river bed for about 1km and you come to a thermal spring, up the hill to a ruined building, there are two small baths for dipping into, very sulphureous, further on are caves and more springs but it meant walking through the river. Before Permet we tried to find the Langarica Canyon, here google let us down and we crossed the river Vjosa on a Bailey bridge, not the way to go. On to Bujtina past a stone cutting yard the road goes right, unmade across another Bailey bridge, Bujtina was signed, up the hill past the cemetery. The Villa is super set in its own farmland not far from a quarry. We checked in at the restaurant with Lewis and arranged to eat there that night. The rooms were super with a balcony overlooking the mountains and farmland, ensuite with all modern facilities. Good beds and bedlinen, AC was available. Had beer and wine on the Terrace all very peaceful watched the sheep and goats being brought in for the night Lewis was an excellent host, we had lamb, stewed beef and meatballs with country salad , vegetables and chips. The following day went towards Benji past Permet and before Petran, here we found the canyon, bridge and thermal springs. One of our party did the canyon walk, worthwhile. The rest went back to Permet, which has a large 42m rock which you can go up via steel steps and get a good view of the town and river. Permet is worth a visit with parks and a nice square to sit and have a drink.
Back at Bujtina after collecting our lone walker our second night we elected to have meatballs, rice with chips, country salad a very restful visit with charming hosts. Breakfasts were a little random but okay.
