The lady who takes care of the property is incredibly kind and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was very reasonably priced. She's an excellent cook—we ordered dinner from her small restaurant, and everything was delicious. She also prepared sandwiches and tea for our breakfast, which was a lovely touch. Overall, a truly pleasant and homey experience!

Our recent stay at North Star Hostel was great. First and foremost, the location couldn't have been better. Situated in the heart of Shkoder we were within walking distance of all the major attractions, restaurants, and shops, making exploring the city incredibly convenient. What truly set North Star Hostel apart, however, was the outstanding staff. From the friendly receptionists who greeted us upon arrival to the attentive housekeeping team, everyone went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. One of the highlights of our stay was the secure parking for our motorcycles. As avid riders, having a safe and designated parking area for our bikes was a major priority. We could relax and enjoy our time in the city knowing that our bikes were in good hands. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Whether you're visiting Shkoder for business or pleasure, this hotel truly has it all – great location, comfortable accommodations and of course, secure parking for your prized possessions. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to the city!

The owner was incredibly kind and helped us many times with transfers to other areas around Shkoder! The other staff here were also incredibly friendly, kind and helpful! The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the kitchen has great facilities.

    This place is really cool. Nice people, quiet neighbourhood with parking outside. We were able to leave our car in their safe off-street parking for a small fee while we were hiking in the mountains. Beers and coffee cheap. They can help with everything for excursions away to the mountains. Excellent hostel!

    This is a wonderful new, family run hostel that should be at the top of everyone's list for a place to stay in Shkodër. It has a great location and a stunning rooftop terrace with gorgeous 360 ° views. The staff are fabulous and if you're lucky, you'll get a chance to taste the owner's delicious homemade wine. With great value for the money, book your bed before word gets around and there won't be any available. One of the best hostels in Albania.

    The room is fine, same as the bathroom. Cheap stay, so comparable quality. We were able to leave our suitcase in the hostel whilst going on the hikes, that was nice.

    Price is very cheap so great value for money. Located in the central tourist streets, the safest and cleanest part of the city, even if you do not stay here I strongly recommend staying nearby. Hostel has decent kitchen facilities. All the staff (and the people staying while I was there) were really friendly.
