Great Host! We wanna thank Mr Juan and his wife for doing great job! The hostal is exceptionally clean (which is hard to find in Bolivia). It’s a cozy place where you can even use a kitchen. Quiet place. Mr Juan also gives you all important information about interesting places in Bolivia. He can also arrange special tours and expeditions for you. Location seems to be not central, but it’s super comfortable because you are 5 minutes from cable car 🚠 which is the best way of getting around in La Paz! Breakfast is really nice and every morning fresh!

The Room was big and clean, with windows and a nice view too. The shower was one of the best we had in South America, very clean, nice water pressure and hot water. The stuff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast at the rooftop was delicious.

Great value hostel in a lovely location. The breakfast was brilliant. Staff were kind and helpful. Hot showers, comfortable beds. I spent 9 days here and would return. Not the most 'social', but loads of backpackers around if you want to get chatting. Anata hostel has a real homely feel, I would definitely return!

Best accommodation in this price range during my South America trip. Reminded me of European standards, which I really enjoyed. Exceptionally good English at the reception. Quiet location and very helpful staff. Great breakfast with fresh fruit, oatmeal, bread, meat, and yogurt. I’d stay there again anytime.

The room we booked for 3 nights was for a double and two single beds, but when we arrived it was a very small room with only 2 single beds. We asked if was possible to have a double bed at least for the two nights after but they said that the rooms were booked. In the end there wasn't a lot of people in the hotel and the rooms which had 3 singles but was a lot bigger wasn't even proposed to us. At the end for paying if we didn't pay in dollars we had to pay even more than the black market exchange rate in Bolivianos, or 5% commission on card. Paying the black market rate is obviously illegal. To be fair we left later than the checkout time without charge which for me is the least they can do. It could be a good place but when you pay the normal exchange rate on ATMs is not nice to pay an extra 40%. There is a continuous smell of diesel as well but you get used to it ...

The breakfast staff keeps the kitchen so clean that you could perform a heart transplantation on the counter. I have not been at a hostel in Bolivia where they took so much care of cleanliness:) Overall super helpful staff and good vibes! The receptionist helped me to fix budget friendly accommodation in Riberalta which I am so thankful for!

It's a backpackers hostel. Facilities are not great but good enough if you're young and on a budget. Good areas to hang around if you don't mind worn out furnitures.
