Truly amazing staff, the best I’ve met so far in a hostel - very outgoing and helpful in any situation! The area is great and safe, close to the metro and right between the beaches and the center of the city. The hostel is clean and spacious and organises many events for guests to participate in.

had such a great experience staying at Bamboo Rio! The location is super convenient—just a few minutes from the beach and close to everything you need. The facilities were clean, the pool area was a lovely bonus, and the atmosphere was always friendly and chill. But what really made my stay special were the amazing staff members. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. I especially want to give a big shoutout to Pedro, who always went the extra mile—whether it was offering great local tips, helping organize activities, or just making everyone feel at home with his positive energy. You can tell the team here genuinely cares about the guests. Thank you Bamboo Rio for making my time in Rio unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back!

From the moment I missed my flight, I was incredibly stressed about my trip. However, the staff at this hotel turned my situation around with their exceptional professionalism and organization. This property is beautiful. The grounds are kept clean all through the day and night. With a lovely pool to enjoy and great communal areas. The staff couldn’t be nicer! So a huge shout out to them. They provided even more than I could’ve asked for. With meals to purchase while you stay and clean towns and sheets too. Breakfast was delicious and always on time. I love this place !

The best hostel in Rio. This is what I call real hostel, it's not about cheap prices, but about opportunities for solo travelers to find friends and activities. The hostel staff really help you feel at home. They organize different activities every day. The hostel itself is located on a mountain in a safe neighborhood. Very good wifi. Very good common areas.
