The cleanliness of the facilities, the easy location (even if it is advised not to walk alone after dark in that area) to reach close attractions/metro stations/restaurants and grocery stores, but also the breakfast was really good, every morning they offer a different one, and they write on a board the time as well as what we can take. So it was fresh and tasty! There is plenty of space to sit and relax. There is also hot shower. You also get a key of a box to store your luggage during your stay and they are flexible regarding storing luggage before/after your stay.

Nice, comfy house with two lovely kittens and a dog. Clean and a shared kitchen to use. Quiet, great location, close to the Metro station. Shops and cafes around in the area.

(I stayed 3 weeks in single-bed Azulejo room) Great location, very close to massive supermarket, metro stations and 20 min walk to Volador hill for great views of city or nature walks. Safe area (with common sense). I could watch variety of colourful birds even from my bed all day - perfect (Azulejo, means blue bird). Peaceful. Excellent helpful cheerful staff. Kitchen works well. Terrace to relax. Not a party place but plenty of opportunities to socialise with likeminded guests too. Great sleep. This is the best place for your money.

The aesthetics are incredible, the staff is the absolute best! I left money on my bunk bed and they saved it for me, they were super nice and attentive, the Night Shift downstairs bar guys are incredibly nice too.

I was so glad to get the chance to stay at Del Cielo. Tomas is an inspiring guy who is going to (and has done) amazing things for La Loma. The area feels like a home away from home, so incredibly safe, I got a bit lost one evening, and I was walked back to the hostel by locals. So kind. It's super easy to jump on the local buses and get to the metro, it's not far from all the places you want to go. Ubers learn something new everything time they go there, seeing it's a great place to live and stay and that people want to visit and stay in La Loma. The hostel itself is super friendly, and everyone is lovely. Lili, the kids, Tomas. When I was there, there was an empanada cooking class, and a barbecue where everyone got involved, and got to know each other. Lili gave me some salsa tips, and I learned about Call Me Mamá. What a great project. Each day I was there, there was a new piece of equipment added to the kitchen, a conscious effort to constantly improve. The View!!! Breathtaking, day and night!! Impossible to grow tired of. I think this hostel is going to grow in its success and popularity, and I wish it all the success possible. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS HOSTEL FOR AN AUTHENTIC Medellin experience. ❤️
