I just did not want to leave:-) so I extended my stay for a few more nights. It feels very relaxing (as Montezuma itself), the common area is big enough for everyone to find a perfect place to chill (hammocks, terrace, garden, ...) with fantastic views and is ideal for meeting other guests. It is almost on the beach and within a 10 minut walking distance to the downtown (a nice soda is just 100m actually). A cleaning lady comes daily. Naty who runs the hostel is very friendly and helps you to organise trips cheaply (or for free). I have really enjoyed my stay there ans can recommend it-the vibe was excellent.

Have stayed at Pura Vida Hostel Montezuma many, many times throughout my travels to Costa Rica. Each time returning to beautiful Montezuma I book myself in to Pura Vida Hostel. Love this hostel. Clean, friendly and with helpful staff members. Thank you guys for being so very welcoming.

Location is great - little green paradise, lots of nature. Really quiet as well. 1min walking from playa del carmen and shops/restaurants. Open kitchen is the best All facilities were clean and comfy. And top of it : really nice vibe due to the volunteers I would come back.

Great staff and very clean. Good kitchen and the breakfast was really tasty. Two of us are gluten free and this was no problem at all, which we appreciated alot. The location is also perfect, close to everything! We recommend so much. Best hostel (of 4 different) we stayed at in Santa Teresa.

Great location! Just 1 min walk to an amazing beach with incredible Sunsets. The hotelarea itself has a nice pool, a cute bar and is really comfy to take some breaks and just relax and read a book or chat. They offer activities like pizza in the evening, make some music and spread good mood in the early evenings, but also have it quite and calm early enough to sleep well and get calm rest. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. I would say It’s a Surfers paradise, but even if you don’t surf (I don’t surf) it’s a place to feel relaxed and cosy with enough space and places to decide if you want to join the bar crowd or chill a bit aside. There is always some people around at the bar or reception that will help you out with any questions. Thanks for some Nice relaxed days :)

Chelsea is a very nice, helpful & caring host. Her friend Lenin is a very patient , good & funny surf instructor ! Very good vibes in this Hostel. Community Kitchen with all the items you need to cook or make coffee in the morning. Highly recommend the place. It’s like being roommates - almost friends - not guests. We had a lot of good talks there! Feels soo cozy within this hostel family

The pods were really really comfortable to sleep in, with a locker you can keep your things safe in. The kitchen was the best hostel kitchen we had during our trip. Quite big and very organized. Overall it’s a very social hostel and we met amazing people during both our stays. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.
