Super sweet staffs and good bed and location.

People were very good by nature.

So first of all I really have to give it to the amazing staff. Menna and Adham for really patiently taking my calls before I had even arrived in Egypt. They arranged a really nice shuttle service from Cairo to Alexandria and that made my day hassle free. Batool for organising really nice tours, especially the one to Rasheed. The tour guide was very informative and patient. I would recommend that tour to anyone who wants to see real Egypt. Omar is a really nice person and also very very assisting in nature. One of the staff members really came to my assistance when I had to go to the hospital with emergency. All of them together are a great team. Very communicative and non judgemental people. The breakfast was really good. The help staff of the hostel is a very sweet and friendly lady. I made couple of friends here and my time in the hostel was indeed very comfortable and easy going. Thank you so very much Ithaka Hostel. I highly recommend you make a stop in this beautiful little space in Alexandria.😊

I fell in love with this hostel - the building and the rooms are such old world glamour and we paid extra to get a room with a sea view which was definitely worth it as you can gaze out to the Mediterranean each evening and morning. It was right in the heart of Alexandria and you could walk everywhere easily. Staff friendly too. Really recommend if you want to experience the bygone era.

Everything in the hotel was perfect ♥️

At the time of writing this review, I stayed in a double room with a balcony for 750 EGP per night. The accommodation is ideally located in the heart of Corniche, Alexandria's beautiful coastal road. It is situated in a building right next to Saad Zaghloul Square, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, markets, and shopping complexes. The Corniche itself offers a priceless experience for leisurely strolls. Located on the 4th floor, the hotel provides a balcony with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, bathed in warm sunlight. The room is spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need, including a TV, fan, air conditioning (unused during winter), a table, and chairs. There’s very little to ask for beyond what is already provided. Hot water is readily available and works perfectly. While it’s not a luxury hotel, one thing I can confidently say is that this is the best choice you can find for 750 EGP per night. If you are a long-term backpacker or planning to spend extended time in Alexandria, often called the "Bride of the Mediterranean," I highly recommend the Transit Hotel. The staff is friendly and available 24/7. Although breakfast service is not provided, there’s a common hall with tables where you can freely relax. If you need anything, the thoughtful owner, Mohamed, and the staff will go out of their way to assist you. Mohamed is incredibly capable and kind.
