the hotel is located on the quiet side of the island so you don't feel the smog and dust! the ferry between the island and the city runs every 10 minutes and costs about 0.2 USD (January 2025) there is a shop and a restaurant on the island but I recommend eating at the hotel because Mr. Omar is a great cook (the food is delicious and we didn't have any stomach problems even eating raw vegetables). Mr. Omar arranged all the trips for us (Abu simbel, Phile and transport from the airport and to Luxor) at unbeatable prices and without haggling. the contact with the host is great. he replies quickly on WhatsApp.

The owner is truly approachable and kind even though she manages the hostel by herself. The hostel was brand new and the room was so clean. There was also laundry service with reasonable price.

Not that hard to find, because the people at the souk know this place. Ask around. The location is on the 3rd or 4th floor. So be prepare for the luggages. I herd, throug the grape vines, that an elevator is to be installed in the near future. Upon arrival, you can tell right away that you will have a wonderful stay. Hosts are very welcoming, and the facility is well maintained. Tidy and comfortable. Room #3 is facing the pedestrian street (souk), and you will hear noise coming from there. But, it's nothing to compare with Cairo (which is a good thing). So, bring your earplugs if you are a light sleeper (like me). I am convinced that this issue could be easily resolved with a creative solution toward the window. Guests are respectful. Hosts are sensible and attentive to your comfort and happiness. I stayed at two different hostels during my stay, and Wanees hostel was my favorite. Shoukran!

Very beautiful place, well taken care of, with colorful paintings on the walls, Nubian style. The owners were very kind and welcoming. They helped us with the trip to Abu Simbel and with transfers. They welcomed us with a cup of mint tea, which they grow themselves. The breakfast they prepared was delicious and very big. Amazing quality for good price. Strongly recommend!

It’s a beautiful place, build by a retired mother that worked as a teacher and now wants to leave a bussiness for her two dauthers. You can see the love on the place and wanting to do stuff as good as possible. They have little semiapartments with shared half kitchens (not stove but fridge, a sink, glasses and plates), the room I stayed had a balcony with beautiful views to the nile river, had airconditioning but also a fan, so you can chose. The shower has a heater, and though it has an interesting design just in the middle of the toilet, it works and is very good. The owner incredibly nice, very nice person to talk with. Her dauther is the only one doing Bird watching tours in Aswan (even being featured on the Lonely planet).

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They gave me plenty of recommendations and did not overcharge for water (like many hostels and hotels do). The area felt safe as staff as well as locals from the village would assist if need be.

Property is in a quiet area of Aswan, away from the noisy city. Crossing the street it has an exclusive area to swim into the Nile river or do some kayaking, which are rented for a cheap price. They also offer water and soft drinks and a small breakfast included. You can easily spend many days relaxing in the hostel, without even leaving to do attractions.

Great owner who was very helpful, the room was nice, and I loved the view from the rooftop! The hostel is on the island and is very easy and cheap to reach by public ferry (takes 5mins). Walking around the island is also fun. Check out King Jamaica for some good food. :)

This village is great if you want to experience local life. The staff here are really nice and always ready to help with a smile. It's very safe to walk around this island even at night. I felt comfortable with the Nubian people and trusted them completely. For those seeking conformity, this hostel may not align. But if you want to relax and enjoy the peacefulness while looking at the stars, this is the place to be
