Location was excellent, also the atmosphere. It was easy to get there and find your own spot. They have a nice common space in which you are able to spend time and maybe do some writing for example. Room was quiet and bed was nice to sleep. Also liked that the place was clean and well organized. They even had live music in the evening. And the breakfast (waffles) was also so tasteful. Really enjoyed.

Rarely have I ever had a better sleep in more expensive hotel rooms. Pods are comfortable, nicely ventilated and give lots of privacy.

This was such a great little pod perfect for a solo traveler. The rooms were clean, plenty of space for using the bathroom considering it is shared, everything was digital from checkin procedures to the locker codes. I felt safe, I had enough privacy and the common kitchen was so nice they even thought to provide guests with food labels for the fridge. For a solo traveler looking for a decent reliable place to sleep in a clean and fairly private surrounding this was great value for money. The location was perfect. They also provide extra lockers to store luggage on the day you checkout so you can still travel without carrying your bags, they really thought of everything!

I liked everything there. The staff was more than welcoming, clean, cosy and friendly place. Good breakfast, free coffee and tea, quiet roomates and great location.

Five minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Station and less than 10 minutes from Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile Backpackers enjoys a central location surrounded by bars, cafés and restaurants.
