The rating of 10 is due to the awesome customer service from Matt. He is exceptional! I checked in and went to my private room with private washroom but it was way too hot even with the window open. I know I cannot sleep in a hot room so I immediately informed Matt. He offered another room and helped me carry my heavy bags up the narrow steps to room 303 (which officially is not open to rent out currently but he made an exception). The room was perfect since it wasn't on the central heating system. I had such a great nights rest in the comfortable full-sized bed and the room was nice and cool. There was a toilet nearby outside of the room which also was very convenient. On top of giving me a room to meet my needs Matt offered a breakfast voucher for free to apologise for any inconvenience which was super thoughtful and very kind. Breakfast was good! The character and history of this building is so unique and is defiantly an experience staying there.

Clean, cozy, comfortable. Common areas are cleaned very frequently. Even the corridors, entrances and staircases are clean and dust-free. Comfortable room for relaxation. Enough space for luggage. The Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming . The accommodation was very secure . I had to get past security at the door of the bar before checking in and collecting a key in order to gain access to locked accommodation wing next door. I arrived before check in time and the staff kindly looked after my luggage , even taking into the back of the bar when I left the building. Great experience all round .. Comfortable beds and quiet room with excellent shower facilities. The bar was ideal , serving beer and liquor off all varieties . The Guinness was smooth and well poured . I liked that I could watch 2 different football matches simultaneously on big screens while also being able to key an eye on Ronnie O Sullivan on the telly in my big comfortable booth.
