Lovely hostel with cosy rooms, really comfortable mattress and a beautiful authentic Indonesian bathroom with regular!, not travel sized, container of shampoo and bath gel that smells fantastic! Wonderful hosts, always providing coffee, tea, mineral water and snacks. Plus it's location is in a small street not in the main road so it's very quiet but still a step away from everything, restaurants, shops etc. in a nice neighborhood. Great value for money!

Great for a long stay! Different chill out/common areas, comfortable private rooms and bathrooms, good AC. Ardi is a darling host and was able to recommend activities in Jogja and elsewhere in Java. I’d stay here again!

Everything was superb. Ocid (I think he's the owner) took us on his motorbikes to a private tour in Green Canyon and Valley. He's quite talkative so he explained us so much things not only about Indonesia. The breakfast was tasty. We decided stayed there one more night than we planned it.

I just want to start off my review by saying I have stayed in over a dozen or more hostels while travelling Australia and the world and this one is definitely in my top 3. So sadly I only stayed for 1 night in Wonderloft Hostel Yogyakarta because I already had a flight booked the following day but the staff and facilities were 10/10 and I wish I was able to stay longer. In my 1 night of stay I had mutiple enquires for the reception/staff e.g. - How to book a train to the airport (which they did for me) and also how to get to the train station at 4:35am in time for my train (which they also helped me with). - Where could I find a good restaurant for some delicious Nasi Goreng (one of my fav Indonesian dishes) it was quite late at night though so one of the only options was a small street food vendor around the corner which I went to and it was "enak" which is Indonesian for delicous and only $22,000 Rp ($2.20 Australian at the time) - Lastly where is a good place to get a nice respectable and reasonably priced massage (I got a full body massage for 1hr for $115,000 Rp $11.50 Australian which is roughly about ×9 less than what I normally pay back home) The room I stayed in was a mixed gender capsule dorm room which was very clean, the bed was really comfy, it had amazing A/C (which if you've ever been anywhere in South-East Asia just before, during or just after the rainy season as well as anywhere in the Northern part of Australia during summer you know it's kind of a game changer) and to top it off everyone is supplied with a complimentary towel. It was also my first experience staying in a capsule dorm so I was a bit unsure as what it would be like but I loved it.

A very nice vibe here, they offer private rooms and dorms. Everything was clean, it’s also nearby to Malioboro street where there are shops and restaurants. You can also rent bikes from them directly. The staff were very nice and super helpful - we had some issues figuring out where to get the bus from to our next destination and they helped us contact the right people and get the information for us. Would highly recommend!

    We were super satisfied with our stay at this accommodation—maybe it’s the best hostel I’ve ever been to. 🏨💚 The place is lovingly decorated, with beautiful plants everywhere and a great overall layout. 🌿 The rooms are small and simple but very nice. 🛏️ The location is perfect—right next to cozy cafes and restaurants, and you can walk everywhere. ☕🍽️ The staff gives excellent tips and doesn’t push expensive tours on you. 🗺️ They also rent out high-quality scooters. 🛵 We felt super comfortable here. Thank you so much for everything! 🙏😊

    The rooms were basic but okay. Beds were quite comfortabel and the shower was warm. The staff were really nice and were staying up late to drink some beers and play some music. The backpackers feeling was really nice and it was the perfect place to meet new people in Yogyakarta. The pool was also a nice addition.

    Great location, comfortable bed but most of all the staff are genuinely such lovely people! The owner is so helpful and kind and the lady at reception is so friendly and welcoming. The hostel really gives off a homely vibe and as a solo female traveller I felt incredibly safe. Will definitely stay again if I return to Yogyakarta!
