Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Really impressed. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Everything was thought of. There was lockers and plugs next to the bed. And having two showers and two toilettes per 8 bedroom room, meant that you never had to wait.

This hostel is in a fantastic location right in the Sassi. The man who runs it is so kind and helpful! There are lockers to put your things in safely while you explore this amazing city (bring a padlock). Its clean with enough bathrooms. Its unusual as it is in the rock itself like the places in the sassi. There is a kitchen should you wish to use it. Great place thats affordable for people on a budget. Thankyou so much!

I am traveling with a bike so the stuff reserve for me a place in the box for the safe of my bike, I stayed there 2 nihhts even I wantes just one because I found the place very comfy and in the heart of Sisi La Matera. From this hostel you can go everuwhere in the place. I RECCOMAND IT FOR CYCLIST TRAVEL.

The hostel was very close to the area of historic Matera, the area dei Sassi. It is only a few minutes walk to reach it. The hostel has one dormitory with bunk beds and three well equipped bathrooms. I arrived by bus from Taranto and although the bus stop is almost 3 km away from the city, there are 4-5 local buses that can be used to arrive to the hostel. Except from Sunday and the time between 14:00-16:00... No bus.
