I have been there during low session, so hostel didn't offer any special food or events but I have seen that they have. The location is a bit out of the way, but easy enough to get to and much cheaper than staying on the main island. I felt safe in and around the hostel as a solo female traveller. Host was very friendly and accommodating and gave great advice on where to eat, sights to see etc. The shared room was very comfortable and one of the best hostel stays in my experience.
