The location is perfect, and it was easy to get to most places in Kyoto. There’s also a direct train to Osaka departing from nearby Sanjo station. We appreciated the luggage storage opportunity, both before and after our stay. The shared facilities are clean and tidy, so you actually feel like using them.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hostel was warm and cosy. I never felt cold even in the bathroom areas. I also liked that there were several toilets and shower rooms so you never have to wait in line The bed and pillow were really comfortable too. Each bed also has a curtain which gives you a bit of privacy. The hostel was beautiful and in a more traditional style. There was a kitchen and small common room which was really comfortable for socialising, cooking dinner and using your computer (sockets available etc).
