If I had only tried a few hostels, you might think this is just another average review but I’ve been traveling the world for years and stayed in hundreds of hostels and this one, truly stands out. It’s not about being fancy or full of luxury. The facilities are simple, clean, and practical. Exactly what you’d expect for the price. But what makes this place extraordinary is the hospitality, warmth, and genuine care that the team puts into everything they do. Even the small moments show it. One evening at dinner, my plate came with mashed potatoes (which I don’t like). I asked for an empty plate just to separate the food, and while I thought the request had been forgotten, a staff member came back minutes later with a fresh serving of hot rice made just for me! Completely unasked for. That’s the level of thoughtfulness they put into their guests. And then there’s the magic of their special dinners. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday they cook something unique… a different dish every time, prepared with love and served not because they have to, but because they want us to connect, share, and feel at home. They don’t even eat with us; it’s all about creating a space where travelers can gather and build friendships. It’s rare to find a hostel with this much heart and soul. Honestly, it feels less like a hostel and more like a family. The only downside? It’s becoming harder to find a bed because everyone wants to stay here! So if you see availability, don’t hesitate! This place is a gem! Brand new and offers exceptional value for what you pay. The dorms are spotless, with a good level of privacy, and there's a big pool and complimentary breakfast, which is a nice touch. The whole place has a fresh, welcoming vibe. The staff here really make the experience. Somaiy is incredibly helpful and speaks both French and English—definitely someone to go to if you need anything. His wife makes a delicious breakfast, and the rest of the team is just as friendly. The owner is fantastic—went out of their way to help me when I ran into some issues. Truly grateful for that. If you're planning a trip to Luang Prabang, this is the place to stay.

I don’t know why the rating is low because I loved everything in this place. The location is not central but you have a chance to see another neighbourhood. The bathroom was always clean, ac worked all the time, the terrace and breakfast were perfect as well. Staff is friendly and you can book waterfall trip via them. The only thing I didn’t like was a socket. It was difficult to charge my phone.

I like tike the mini bar with balcony stick to the Nam Khan River, I guess only Funny Riverside Backpackers have it, I love the view and tanquility also beautiful sunrise from there, Good value of money for solo traveler, Very Recommended :)
