This was the best hostel we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka! We met so many friends here and continued travelling with them. The staff were wonderful and made it very easy for us to plan activities and socialise with other people. The dorms are clean, beds have curtains, the shower has warm water, the breakfasts were delicious and the hostel’s location is superb! The staff are very friendly and really look out for you! Someone in our group left a camera behind (which we only noticed once they told us) and they organised to transport it to Negombo for us at almost no cost!

It's a dream! The view here is incredible. Dreamville is nestled in the mountains, so you have a perfect view of the landscapes of Ella, including a gorgeous waterfall. You wake up to absolute serenity, and the property has lots of places to just chill out and enjoy the view. The beds are kind of open air, which I loved because you can draw the curtain in the morning and you're immediately greeted by this unbelievable view. The temperature is perfect too - Ella is never cold or hot, so the blanket that Dreamville provides is perfect for nighttime. Beds are super comfy! Breakfast was lovely as well, and you eat on the terrace that overlooks the whole property. Sham, the owner, is so lovely and did everything she could to make my stay wonderful, including calling tuktuks for me in the middle of the night! The only thing I'll note is that the place is about 30 minutes outside of Ella on a very bumpy tuktuk ride. I loved being away from the main part of Ella, but you might want to factor in some extra time and cost for travel (costs are minimal, about 2000 SLR one-way into town). The wifi works really well, but doesn't quite reach the bunks, so you'll probably want to use it in one of the common spaces. My only regret is not staying longer and spending more time hanging around Dreamville!

I absolutely loved my stay here. It’s out of town but that’s what made it so special, it was so peaceful. It had a beautiful view out into the rice fields and mountains and the walk along the train tracks was beautiful. The building itself was so cute and included brekky and dinner! Plenty to do around.

This place is like an oasis of peace and quiet from the noisy and crowded place that is Ella. The bungalow is located on the mountainside with a beautiful view. The terrace with a hammock was my favorite place where I could observe nature while drinking a cup of warm tea. The rooms are clean, the water in the bathroom is hot. The only downside is that you can hear a little bit of the person from the next room. The staff is great, thank you very much for these evening conversations

My stay at this hostel was fantastic ! The room was clean and comfortable ,the staff friendly and helpful, location also perfect, the atmosphere was welcoming, with great mix of travelers from around the world , i will definitely stay here again on my next visit!!!!!!

Super welcoming host - I was offered a cup of tea at arrival :-) and several times during my stay. New hostels - all very functional, nice, clean and tidy. Very good location. The provided towels are really good!! (I experienced no towel or really old one in other hostels). Central without being in the middle of the noisy pubs/night clubs… Definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at 4 Axes Hotel! The food was delicious with both Sri Lankan and Western options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after exploring Ella.

Exceptional Breakfast | Super Quiet | Very Caring Host | Super helpful, he is making sure you are feeling comfortable. And a big plus are his marvelous children. A little Gem close to Ella. It is highly recommended to get a Scooter if you stay there.

The place has a beautiful view! The star was definitely the Sri Lankan complementary breakfast they have. It was excellent and very big! I really enjoyed staying at this place.
