For two days, I felt at home! The owner isn't your typical businessman who's just out to make a profit, but a sweet and warm person who cares about your experience. He cooks excellent traditional Sri Lankan dishes and can give you all the tips you need on the most unmissable places to visit in the city and the country. Amazing deal for the price and location. Its about 400 in a Pick Me ride if you walk away from train station to other side of lake. Can catch a bus back to town easily. Family was super accommodating and welcomed me with a coffee and quick chat. Their daughter bakes great cakes and mom and daughter made a lovely simple Sri Lankan breakfast. Quiet even for SL New Year.

This place is so convenient, clean and comfortable. Amazing host treated us so well, excellent food so delicious, "Megala "the lady cook made ( pittu) for the breakfast the best ever also support us on laundry thank you so much. Highly recommend this place with out any hesitation.

The value you get in this property is the best so far I've had for a hostel/dorm. It came with free breakfast and dinner! It had hot water, AC and free towels. Although the facility itself is not "vibey", it is clean and comfortable located in a safe and pretty accessible from the main area/city center. You also do get to meet other people as dinner and breakfast are served along with other guests.

I loved everything about this property! The lovely gardens, the food, the homeliness, the shower but most of all, the hospitality of the hosts! The property itself has been decorated with love. My son and I received such a nice welcome from the hosts, we were blown away by their hospitality. Jude is highly trained and this shows in the service he provides. I would highly recommend a stay here.
