This place is amazing. I was here three weeks ago and decided to come back. No hostel is like this. The staff is amazing and friendly, the people is marvellous and social. It is totally understandable that people have stayed here for so long. Cute dog, but a bit hectic sometimes. Perfect placement, just a sec from the beach. Lovely volunteer, especially that extra guy, think his name is Alex.

The location is great and the hostel has a beautiful sea view. The beach is right in front of you which is a great spot for surfing. The staff were very friendly and helped us with any questions we had during our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Definitely a good place to stay in the Weligama area!

A beautifully designed, modern accommodation with a different style. Everything is brand new and clean. Our Special highlight was the incredibly comfortable bed - something seasoned travelers know is a rare find! Absolutely perfectly located, right in the heart of a lively area. The hosts are exceptionally kind and welcoming, and very helpful to assist. We could only stay for one night, but this is the kind of place where you'd want to stay longer. We will definitely return. Highly recommended!

The location is too good. The room was ok, you can have your privacy in the your bunk bed. There was a chair and a table in the room which is nice to have. Lockers were very wide to put your luggages. They have a luggage area next to reception, so I could drop my luggage before check-in The wifi was very good. I could work in the common area, and that particular area is very nice to socialize with other people.

Nice areas for socializing and a great pool. They organized events every day like dinners and outside parties and so on. Great hospitality. Even the beds in the dorms were huge!!!!

Perfect hostel if you’re looking for a friendly environment and family feel. The host Rizzy, goes out of his way to help you make the most of your time in Sri Lanka and answer any questions you might have. He cooks a delicious breakfast which the hostel tends to eat together as a group, offering a great way to meet fellow travellers. The beach is just across the street and is excellent for beginner surfers.

    Wake Up Hostel was my favourite Hostel in Sri Lanka so far. The social vibe is great and you can easily get to know new people. There is social activities every day, the location is 5 minutes from the beach and it's a bit off of the main road so you don't here the traffic. In addition the Host is super cool and takes part in most hostel activities. The dorm room was spacy, clean and there was a wooden Box to store your important stuff. If you want to to experience something you should definitely go here.

    this is the best hostel I have visited. good location, close to the beach, cafe, shop. clean, friendly staff. The best guys worked at the reception. they created a really cool atmosphere and came up with various events.

    A great hostel with a great location. Not far from the bus station or beach. There always some activity and a WhatsApp group to make it easier. Common area is really nice and easy to meet people. Nice with a kitchen as well!
