The middling marks and overall score of 10 are due to the hostel staff. The hostel was just a hostel. The building is dated. Several public bathrooms are a bit cramped, offering no leg room when the sitting or attempting to stand. The stairs are treacherous — especially the stairs to the basement (you’ll see). So what’s to like? The STAFF! Geesh, try to keep up. If it weren’t for the night manager, Saulė, and Jesùs, the Eeyore impersonator, I would remember the hostel fondly, as a solid but unremarkable 8 -- not a memorable 10.

Only a 10-minute walk away from the bus and train stations, Mikalo House is located in the heart of the old town of Vilnius. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking.
