I found Ban Sheng Teik hostel as a very comfortable, beautiful and instagramable hostel. Interior design and provided services are very exquisite like in 5 star luxurious spa resorts. Hostel team is a main asset and joy of the hostel. They were very helpful and friendly. Location: Hostel is located in the heart of Old Town. Famous party street with café, restaurants, shops, weekend market in the park, mosque, train station, clock tower, street with mural arts and other sightseeing places are within 5-10 minutes of walking distance from the hostels. Kitchen: There is a nice kitchen with everything needed for cooking/warming up and eating own food. Watercooler/Dispenser with boiling hot and cold water was helpful to make own tea or refill empty bottle with cold water. I was seating and chatting with other travelers in the kitchen and in the entrance area where you can charge your phone or listen to the music from radio. Bathroom: I was happy to see that male and female shared bathroom with toilets and shower are separated. Laundry service: There is a free washing and drying machines in the kitchen where I did my laundry. There is an ironing board with iron for ladies and gentlemen. My room: I was all alone in 6 bed dorm room without windows, so it was great as I slept like a baby. There was an air conditioner, a ceiling fan, a giant mirror, tiny lockers (enough size to put small bag/laptop/valuable items) and cloth hangers in my room. My bed: Very comfortable clean bed with personal lamp, socket/plug to charge phone/laptop, towel, tooth brush and paste has been provided. Cleaning: Hostel was very clean like in the museum and in my mother’s house. Safety: Hostel was very safe as all doors have card access entry only. Even bathroom entry was via access card! Wi-Fi internet: Free wi-fi internet worked very well everywhere in the hostel. Overall, I can highly recommend Ban Sheng Teik hostel for local and international travelers.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
