Good location and very close to the jetty. The room was clean with daily house keeping. The staff were very friendly and arranged diving and snorkelling day trips. Overall was a nice stay at a good price

Great place to stay for a few nights. The owner lives there himself and is constantly taking care of everything. Very friendly and clean. Small local breakfast in the morning for self service. Clean washrooms and well working AC system if you like. You’ll meet all kind of different people there, some backpackers, divers and also locals. Very fair price-performance ratio! Particularly in the dorms. we had a double bed room, because I’m a bit bigger and need a bigger bed, also very fair priced! Totally recommend this place!!

    I had a great stay at Island backpackers in a private room and extended a few times. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Free breakfast of toast, spreads, boiled eggs & bananas was more than many hostels. The place is basic, but it does the job if you’re hoping to do diving / snorkeling day trips.

    Amazing stay and comfortable bed. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Liked this area more vs the waterfront. Very good value for money. The hostel arranged transport to the airport which was the cheapest I could find!

    The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hostel is nice, everything you need/want for those prices. You can book different dive days trip in the hostel: cheap, good and EASY.

    The hostel was great with arranging for a late airport pickup for much cheaper than anything else. Spent a night here before heading to Mabul Island and it worked out. It's amazing that they include breakfast for that price. The companies they recommend for tours and diving are good companies and the prices are amongst the cheapest in all of Semporna.
