The double rooms upstairs are more boutique hotel than boutique hostel, apart from the whole share kitchen / lounge thing that comes with hostels. The staff are so friendly and they / the owner obviously take great pride in the hostel, it is a charming and well kept space. If most hostels were like this I'd stay in one every time. So pleased we stayed in Haarlem and not Amsterdam. You can easily visit Amsterdam for the museums etc., but in Haarlem you have the best of it without the tourist crowds.

I LOVED the hostel! The atmosphere overall was perfect! Rooms were very comfortable and the staff were so lovely! The location was great too, in the corner of the street there was a nice place for the breakfast as well as for spending the afternoon/evening. I would 100% recommend and if I will get a chance to return would choose this place over again:)

Best hostel in town! The staff is so so friendly and sweet, it’s a joy to walk past reception everytime, David was so helpful and nice to talk to, he gave me a ton of recommendations and a room in the bottom floor as I have lots of luggage to carry, truly a blessing of a human🫶:) Jules also went above and beyond and took me to some super cool spots around the city, listened to my dating life for hours and gave me fashion advice whenever I asked♥️ and Ale was super sweet and kind, I found myself in a situation I didn’t like and she handled it greatly when I approached reception, super appreciated♥️. Also very yummy family dinners, and lots of instances and spaces to socialise

Alaan was very helpful. When it comes to customer service he went above and beyond. He really values customers and very passionate of what he does. The place is central, you can walk to Amsterdam central station.

I had an amazing experience! The beds are super comfortable, everything was really clean and organised, and the location couldn’t have been better for a first-time tourist in Amsterdam who wanted to explore the city by walking around aimlessly, especially at night. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help with tips and suggestions. (Special shoutout to Peter, the philosophical Italian—I had such a great time chatting with you at reception for hours. You’re awesome!) Overall, 10/10! I’ll definitely be back. Just one heads-up for future female guests: try not to bring large suitcases. The female dorm is on the top floor, and there are a lot of stairs to climb. They’re steep and narrow, so travel light if you can!

Great hostel with a very friendly atmosphere. We lived in a 6-bed room. Clean, comfortable, well thought out. The kitchen, as a public space, created a mood. It is convenient to have a snack, to cook something. Kitty Mishka is just some kind of miracle! I especially want to note the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness. The hostel itself is located in the center. Very convenient location to all the attractions of the city.
