The location was great, it was very easy to get around everywhere, the food was great, and the rooms felt clean and comfortable! The best part is honestly the people working here. They have become like family to me <3 I was staying here for almost a month and a half in spring of 2024 but I wouldn't have stayed as long as I did had I not bonded as hard as I did with Bishwo and Lena especially. We would eat together often, go out together, spend many late nights talking or jamming together or with other hostel guests and friends from the area, we made so much fun together! We'd spent the Newari new year together (Biska Jatra) and even took little day trips to Nagarkot for hiking and swimming. Staying here was a very special experience for me as I am sure it was for many other guests who have had the pleasure of getting to know the Swastik Hostel crew <3 I cannot wait to come back and see everyone. So much love to you Hostel Swastik, I miss you so much, and thank you for that time. If you are reading this, do consider staying here, I talk about this place to my friends all the time, it is very worth coming to Bhaktapur and staying at Hostel Swastik (:

Location is just perfect, close to monasteries and the monkey temple, it's 15 min walking to thamel so luckily not in the middle of the touristic chaos, the staff was amazing, hope to see you again soon!

Hostel Nextdoor is like home away from home. The team is like a family, very positive, friendly and doing their utmost to make sure the stay is pleasant. They are always easily available, organise activities (ie. walking tour, bonfire and movie nights) and make sure you feel comfortable and at ease. The food is good and fresh, and the Fungi the cat is the cutest. The hostel is in a quiet neighborhood outside Kathmandu. The center of Kathmandu/Thamel is easily reachable by taxi, motorcycle or public transportation. It is also very short walking distance to Patan’s Durban square, the historic center of Patan, which is a UNESCO site. Thanks to the whole team, Emi, Sulav and Sandip!

Sunny is the best host ever! He took personal interest in us and we had some nice conversations. The rest of the staff is also exceptionally nice! I liked the hostel so much that I came back for a second stay bring a couple of friends. Even booking one night in advance I could get two rooms and everyone was happy to see us again. The food and coffee were really good!
