Sunny was very welcoming and arranged an airport pick-up for me on arrival. I came to Kathmandu quite late at night and he had offered to cook despite it being so late. The breakfast was lovely in the courtyard. The room was basic but comfortable. Sunny also offered to help organise some trekking and booked the bus for me from Kathmandu to my next destination.

We had a wonderful stay at Peakman Residence! The place felt just like home – cozy, spacious, and very comfortable. We especially loved having access to the whole house, where we could prepare our own breakfast and enjoy relaxing movie nights. The bed was incredibly comfy and we slept really well. The host was super kind, flexible, and helpful throughout our stay. We really appreciated being able to extend our visit. Also, the creative and clear graphics with house rules and explanations were a lovely touch and made everything easy to understand. Overall, a perfect stay – we would definitely come back and highly recommend it to others!

That's a really nice place to stay, yes it's a little bit out of the center, but there is also a lot of things to explore around. To use the gym for free and to have 3 different toilets available is just great, for this price... The owner is also very friendly, he always tryed to help me, we went to the restaurant together and he even asked if I want to go on a mountain with him for one day ☺️

I had a really good experience in the hostel.really nice staff and friendly environment. All the hostel team helped me a lot ( they helped me organizing tour and many things from the hostel). Have nice rooftop, clean bathroom and rooms. I had a great time there and I really recommend this please😊

the location of the hotel is perfect, in the heart of Thamel, but on the quieter street. with the hotel being setback a bit from the main street where there are many gift stores, fabric stores, etc. a good mix of businesses catering to tourists and the locals as well. the staff, especially Saroj was most helpful!

Comfortable and clean hostel, very nice beds and on a side street from all the traffic with a garden where you can chill. The food was delicious and staff super friendly and helpful. Would stay again, and I did.

Everything was perfect! The beds are super comfortable, everything is clean and the shower is hot, and the receptionist is incredibly nice and helpful. It's hands down the best hostel in Kathmandu, with 5 starts amenities.

Such a beautiful place and the staff's hospitality is kind. I really like this place.I prefer the solo traveller to stay in this place.

The personel is very friendly, funny and helpful. The whole hostel is nice and clean and my room had everything I needed. The location was really great for my needs and also close to everything that one might want to do. Even though I have not had the opportunity (as I was working) I do appreciate the free trips they organise. If ever coming back to Kathmandu, there is no other place I would stay.

This is a really great place to stay in in Kathmandu. It’s very central but quiet because it’s off any of the main roads. The garden is perfect to relax in. The staff is really friendly and helped us with absolutely everything - taxis, bus tickets, a tour of Bhaktapur and Patan and they also stored our bags during our Langtang Valley Trek. The prices they charged for busses and tours were very fair. The food here is also delicious! We tried a few cafes and restaurants in Thamel but the food in Birds Nest was at least as good! We stayed here 3 times during our time in Nepal and will happily stay here again next time!
