I felt very safe, bathroom und kitchen were clean, nice staff and very good bedrooms. Also the convenience of a plug in each bunk for charging devices safely. lockable cupboards for possessions were good. The hostel had a welcoming and friendly vibe and good for socialising but not too loud late in the night too, so a great balance as a solo traveller. Plenty nearby places to eat and drink and get coffee and close to water sport tourist attractions. Others, a walk or quick drive such as Huka Falls and hot pools. The hostel is as to be expected if marked as a 3 star accomadation. Clean enough, safe feeling, cheap accomadation in convenient location but very basic.
