I really enjoyed my stay at Artesonraju as it was in a quiet location in a rather residential neighbourhood, with convenience shops and local eateries nearby. It's approximately a 15-20 minutes uphill walk from the city centre.The room was very clean with enough storage space and an ensuite bathroom with a hot shower. The friendliness of the staff is remarkable. Every inquiry I had was taken care of immediately and always to my complete satisfaction. I booked all tours with the hostel and got even a discount. Definitely would stay here again.

The staff, Paul and Mary, were so welcoming and friendly. Paul, a mountaineer, was super helpful with recommendations for hikes and day walks. The bed was comfortable and the internet worked well. Breakfast was great, and the coffee was top-notch and freshly made. Plenty of space to dry out a wet tent or air out sweaty boots. Perfect spot for before or after heading into the hills!

I liked the spacious accommodations, the facilities, and the warmth and hospitality of the owners. The atmosphere was very pleasant and homey. They kindly allowed me to check into my room earlier than usual, which I greatly appreciated, as the trip was full and I was able to rest early. The information about prices and the city was easy to understand. The accommodation had a positive atmosphere. They arranged the excursion for me, and it was wonderful. I loved everything.

I can just recommend this place soooo much! If you go to Huaraz this is the place you wanna stay at. Erik was a wonderful host, preparing delicious selfmade vegan breakfast and also lunch and dinner when ordered beforehand, guiding us to Willkacocha lagune, providing reliable local information, lending a bike and many other things. Furthermore, we had inspiring conversations with him. He is a great host and knowledgeable guide, tirelessly picking up garbage for a cleaner Huaraz. The rest of the family is also really sweet. The breakfast was a real treat. Carla was an excellent host. The location although far from town was exactly what I needed for some peace and quiet, to ground and acclimate to the altitude. The garden area was perfect for laying in a hammock, reading my book and doing my morning exercises.
