Hands down the best place I stayed on the Vincentina trail. Diogo and his team have created a space that is very welcoming and homely. It is so well equipped for hikers and you can really feel the generosity and thoughtfulness that has made this such a stand-out hostel.

Beautiful 2nd floor room w/ balcony overlooking pool and gardens. Large main villa w/ common areas for comfortable lounging, games, restaurant, and bar. Rooms are located in separate, quiet, villas. We were two hikers traveling on foot and appreciated meals available on-site - dinner & very good breakfast buffets.

Carlo's Beach Guest House is located on the beachfront in Praia de Odeceixe, a few steps from Odeceixe Beach and 12 miles from Aljezur Castle.

I had a private room with a double and a single- I was traveling alone but it was the only space left when I booked. They must had a cancellation because there was an empty room with a single twin bed. The location was convenient- after hiking all day I appreciated that it wasn’t up the hill, and is a minute walk to several restaurants but the window opens onto the street so it wasn’t very private and was a bit noisy at night. Had a clothes drying rack. I guess it would have been ok if I was under 23 years old, broke, and it was priced lower.
