The location was great; right in the center and close to the University. Our room was very clean and it had everything we needed. Even though the bathrooms were on a different floor and they were gym-like, we didn't have to wait to take a shower or anything. The staff was friendly and we could leave our bags for a couple of hours after we checked out.

The place was clean and very convenient. Great lockers next to the beds. And very friendly staff. They even made breakfast for me an hour before it should officially start.

There is some renovation going on in the street, but the accommodation is still easy to find. The receptionist is very nice and helpful. There is a spacious lobby and a lounge. There is no kitchen, maybe a small kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave. That is enough, there are several restaurants and shops in the area. The tile covering of the staircase is beautiful. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable. The bathroom layout is well thought out, tidy and clean.

We were lucky to have stayed in a room with great view of the city. The hotel is located on a hill close to the Botanical Garden and to the University of Coimbra. So it goes without saying you need a bit of fitness for going up the hill, but that is Portugal.The hotel is quiet and located in a nice mansion. Breakfast was good, unfortunately not earlier than 7am.
