An exceptional hostel - more like a boutique hotel. The hosts are very welcoming, providing and maintaining excellent facilities - tea, coffee, bread, and even croissants. Very comfy beds, lovely duvet, big rooms, and space. They are completing a 3rd (ground) floor, and have plans for a basement cinema, where, if I understood, they'll show films that are cult, quirky etc. This could be an excellent place for digi nomads, and possibly they'll include work space (we spoke briefly of this). Excellent WiFi, and rooftop seating & BBQ area. The location I liked. Very safe (as Belgrade appeared), in what seemed to be an upmarket (gentrified?) area of older style, larger, housing.. Lovely cafe down the street, 5 mins walk to Lidl, local shops, and public transport. Also close by is a stadium (basketball, not surecwhat else).The main tourist / town centres are a short bus ride to the fortress, and also Republic Square (cafes, modern shopping centre like many high street areas), which are 'this side of the Sava'. A #84 bus from Zeneli Venac (behindish the Rep. Square), takes you across the Sava to the Old Town, and the bars, and cafe area on the Danube. (pin opera theatre Madleniun]). Very popular, a lovely area. (I walked there in 90 mins, and very nice too]). This is not a 'step-out-the-door' into a tourist area place, but the connections are cheap, good, and certainly worth the stay.

Everything was perfect: location in Dorchol, near Panchichev Park that is really close to Stari Grad and at the same time peace and quiet, comfy bed and very stylish interior in common areas, very clean kitchen, showers and WCs, and of course hostel owner Nicola (you can rely on him in every question you'll have in Belgrad, can help you with practically everything). Wow! Balkan Soul Hostel is the best thing i experienced in whole Balkans. All staff will make Your experience unforgetable. All parties in Mystic and Maniak ahhh, i miss them every night. Thanks to all my friends there i learned a lot of useful words in Serbian. It's awesome to make interslavic conversations about important things in life.
