I stayed at this place recently and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in many ways. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and kindness. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the female receptionist, who is originally from the Philippines. Even though her Thai wasn’t fluent, she made a strong effort to communicate with us clearly and always did it with a smile. Her kind and gentle nature really made me feel like I was staying with family, not just at some accommodation. She truly deserves praise for her dedication and attitude. The room itself was clean and cozy. There was a slight paint smell, probably due to limited ventilation, but once I turned on the air conditioning, the smell faded a bit and became more bearable. I really appreciated that each bed had its own personal fan—it made sleeping very comfortable. The mattress was soft and cozy, and I slept very well during my stay. One thing I’d like to mention is that the listing said the room had a private bathroom. However, I found that the bathroom was shared, as another male guest (a foreigner) also used it. This was a bit unexpected, and I think it would be great if the property could make that clearer in the booking details. If it’s not a private bathroom, guests should be informed in advance. That said, the bathroom was clean and came with complimentary body wash and shampoo. The body wash had a lovely scent that I really liked! Another small issue was that in the morning, I wanted to buy some water, but there was no one at the front desk. I tried calling multiple times, but no one picked up. It would be great if there was staff available during morning hours, especially for guests who need something basic like water or check-out assistance. As for the internet, it was a bit slow at times, probably due to many people using it at once.

Chiza and Jackie were the nicest hostel hosts we encountered, they had such a friendly attitude and were willing to help with any questions or concerns we had. They had such welcoming personalities, and provided fresh fruits and local snacks each morning for the guests. The hostel was in an excellent location, walking distance from many attractions. The hosts made this experience in Chiang Mai very memorable - will definitely return to this hostel if I’m back.

Staying at this boutique house was akin to winning the lottery. The building design/room/stylish decor and finishing touches were exceptional. Beyond this - the staff were AMAZING!!! Not to mention the most amazing authentic Thai food made on demand, they also have options for a western palate. High quality espresso coffee also. This is the only accommodation you should book in Chiang Mai. Within the old city you will find a special place at Pran Boutique House…the only problem we had was we never wanted to leave!
