Hostels in Nungwi

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hostel! The space is clean, well-maintained, and has a really good vibe. Everyone I met was super friendly, and the owner is both very understanding and extremely responsive. The location is also a big plus you’re less than 5 minutes from the beach! 100% recommend

I really enjoyed my stay here! The hostel is super close to the beach, just a 2 minutes walk. The staff were kind and helpful, always ready with local tips. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas had a really relaxed vibe, great for meeting other travelers. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and the kitchen was handy if you wanted to cook. Overall, it felt welcoming and easygoing, with the beach right around the corner. I’d definitely stay again! Overall, this hostel offered the ideal mix of comfort, convenience, and community. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, affordable place close to the beach.

Great facilities, very kind and helpful staff and a very nice atmosphere. A nice little oasis in the centre of Nungwi. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a great stay at Rafiki. Is quiet far from town but it was the best choice for me, to avoid touristic places. 10 mins walking from the hostel, you can fine the most beautiful and isolated beach. The hostel itself is was amazing. I was staying in a private room with private bathroom. Everything was clean and bed was comfy. Great to have a fan for hot days. Its similar to a bungalow so its normal to find geckos in room or flies. The staff was amazing and girls prepared a rich breakfast (included). Being far from town, you can call a driver or you can wait till 6/7 pm and go there with owner Rafiki (for free) and I think that is really a nice service to offer. Suggestion: for lunch, you can buy anything and put it in the fridge in kitchen

The Aquarium Beach House is located directly at on the more relaxed side of Nungwi beach. There are less beach vendors and our vacation to relax and enjoy could be met to 100%. The management and staff of the Aquarium Beach House made us feel like at home away from home. The restaurant / bar belonging to the beach house serves great sea food and rice dishes with local spices. We can highly recommend a stay here.
