We traveled on motorbikes, it was possible to put them under the roof overnight. The hostel and pub staff are very friendly, they also communicate in English, which is not so common in Austria.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel because it felt like home. The host was very friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made it easy to relax after a long day of traveling. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, and the living room had a great mountain view. The location was peaceful, which made the stay even better. I would like to come back soon if I get the chance.

Staff were honestly fantastic - they tried so so hard to accomodate the guests. There was an igloo party one night at the resort (nothing to do with the hostel) and the girl on reception arranged a coach off her own back so the guests could go (as it was hard to get home from) - genuinely fantastic effort. If the bar was just a little quiet the staff often went and had a beer with the guests etc so they felt accommodated. Breakfast was fantastic - really good buffet with hot and cold options - staff were attentive and kept it topped up, food was really well cooked. Location was pretty good - its around a 5 minute drive from the ski resort, and they put shuttles/coaches on morning and night. Bear in mind the prices you pay for accom right at the slopes I really cant complain at all its a great concept. The only thing I could mybe mention location wise is there's not much in the nearby (20 mins walk) town of Hopfgarten - places to eat, and apres ski bars in the town and coming off the slopes, but not really anywhere to drink after about 8pm, (except the hostel itself) unless you get a taxi to the next town Westendorf, which isn't walking distance and was around 30 EUR taxi. The whole place was absolutely spotless - the staff/managers certainly appeared to take a real pride in the place - and why not its lovely. Overall thanks very much guys, had a fantastic time, you were brilliant.

The location was great, well connected to everything and close to everything (Buses/Train Station/Restaurants/Coffees/River/Ski Center and city Center). The staff are really nice, kind and helpful and the check in process was so easy. The room was large, and the interior design of the beds is brilliant, this is the first time i see something like this. The bed was so comfortable for me, and the room was quiet always. I never waited to go to toilet or have shower and this makes me feel very comfortable. The Wi-Fi speed is really good. The room and the bathroom were always clean. In general, i had a very lovely stay. Thank you.

Very spacious and modern rooms and delicious breakfast (especially the daily fresh sweets). Nice swimming pool to cool down. Great surroundings.

It was very clean and comfy, great location too, but best part was the staff. Anna is a great host, she helped us immensely with planning our stay, especially she gave excellent advice on hikes to take. She also helped us with a laundry and let us park a car for a few days when we were in the mountains. That service was a perfection, we will definitely come back here next time we visit Austria!

The staff were very friendly, special thanks to Gustav and Maarten, they were there to help us out with any requests and provide recommendations. The amenities offered were very good: a large and well equipped shared kitchen, refrigerators for every room, large lockers for every guest, the possibility to use the washing and drying machines, ski storage room etc. Rooms were exceptionally clean, bathrooms and toilets as well, with enough space for all the guests, and most importantly the beds and linen were clean and comfortable. The general vibe and decor of the hostel is very upbeat and modern, all in all we had a great stay.

Featuring a shared lounge, garden and views of garden, Mountain Hotel & Hostel is located in Ramsau am Dachstein, 7 km from Ramsau Beach. Great view, good breakfast, super friendly staff. Uncomplicated shuttle to town. Very comfortable bed!
