The rooms were comfortable, the location is unbeatable (right by the waterfront!), and the staff were super friendly and helpful — especially the lovely girl at reception whose name I sadly forgot. One night, I had a bit of an issue with a guest who decided to play music loudly in the room around 11pm, then continued blasting it in the shower and corridors like it was a mini rave. He seemed drunk and inconsiderate. Thankfully, I reported it to reception and they were very supportive and handled it really well. Aside from that one guest (which obviously isn’t the hostel’s fault), I had a great experience and would definitely come back!

Refurbished in May, 2018, Mad Monkey Village featuresa TV, a kitchen, bathrooms with air-conditioners in every room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. Free WiFi provided. It's really great to have a place where you can have a nice breakfast for free ... the staff member are really friendly and the hostel is clean including the kitchen ... the music is good and the beds are amazing ! Also good vibes

Mumma's Hostel Cairns có hồ bơi ngoài trời, khu vườn, phòng chờ chung và sân hiên ở Cairns. Mumma’s is great! Friendly staff, clean beds and bathroom, and a super inviting atmosphere! The location can’t be beat and is within walking distance to anything you’d need. Thomas the manager is great and even put out a great Christmas breakfast for everyone on Christmas morning! 10/10 will be staying again soon.

The staff here (shout-out to Luke!!) was amazing! So friendly, kind, and willing to make my accommodation as smooth and seamless as possible. On several occasions, I had help with my luggage and friendly faces to guide me to where I needed to go. The area is top tier and within walking distance to everything you'd need - the rooms are gorgeous and comfy. Would definitely come back again!

Ideally located in the scenic and quieter area of the Esplanade- away from the noise of the clubs, bars and traffic- but only an easy 10 minute walk to the main attractions, the Pier and Cairns City... location location location was fantastic.
