Situated in Ghent, 2 km from Ghent Christmas Market, Treck Hostel has barbecue facilities and a terrace. Attractively situated in the Brugse Poort-Rooigem district, this hostel offers a shared lounge.... One of the best hostels I ever stayed in: beds were comfortable, room size was sufficient not to feel cramped, big lockers, the showers were clean and well equipped, nice breakfast (vegetarian&vegan friendly) included in the price, fully-equipped shared kitchen... And quiet at night! The vibe of the hostel is clearly present and the staff is helpful (they even took the time to give us a tour of the hostel at check-in). Also, the sustainable engagement goes a bit farther than just "save water/electricity" signs: compost bin & organic food at breakfast, environment-friendly soap...

De Draecke Hostel offers accommodation in Ghent, only 1km away from the city center. Guests can enjoy an on-site bar and free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. The city is quite large and contains lot's of crossings, however there is a connection directly from the Train station (bus station near the train station), therefore it is manageable. Should you wish to take the train into the city, there is a stop not far from the hotel and you can get a shared city card for certain number of travels. Breakfast is the standard one with toasts, tea/coffee, therefore I would not call it rich, but is good to consider to start the day. In the city there are options to eat the breakfast for sure, however most points of sale focus on chocolate, waffles and sweets in general. At the reception you can get the city map that helps a lot to move around the city, which is another positive of this place.

The receptionists are very nice, they recommend everything, the building is very beautiful with a privileged view, the rooms are all very good, bathrooms too!

Located right in Ghent's city centre, KaBa Hostel features a garden with a terrace and offers rooms with free WiFi 1 km from the Vrijdagmarkt Square and Ghent's City Council. The place was kept clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast for €5 is a steal and the bed was comfortable. It's also walkable from the nearest train station.

We simply loved the sustainability vibes and...everything else about this hostel! The rooms are large, clean, modern, bright, and warm; the toilet too was big and clean. The staff has been very kind and professional, ready to help us meet our tight schedule on the day...we made it! The breakfast is good, with bread, different types of cheese, ham, fruit, cereals, and coffee (or tea). We now have a new level of standards when visiting hostels, thank you!
