The woman that checked us in was super welcoming and friendly, and helped us book surf lessons with a great instructor!

C&N Backpackers boasts views of Ucluelet Inlet. The hostel has a spacious garden offering firepit, BBQ, lots of outdoor seating and a trail that runs down to the waterfront. Great location, all the facilities you could want. It's a cool building with a lovely walk down to the beach and surrounded by trees. Andy is a great host and made me feel super welcome in Ukee. It's all you could want from a hostel and more.

I wasn't sure what I was getting for the affordable price. I opted for the bunk bedroom that I fortunately didn't need to share with anyone. I had access to everything from the washing machine to the kitchen and bathroom. I was only sharing with one other person who's residing in a spare room here. The host was a gem with goals of turning this into a wellness retreat. Had an amazing massage/healing treatment for an extra charge but it was so worth it. I think I'm one of the first visitors to her home and I can't recommend it enough. This isn't a hotel so if that's what you're looking for this isn't for you. It's a shared living arrangement in a large basement suite. Hostel style living. 4 minute drive to downtown comox, 4 minutes to tim hortons and McDonald's if that's your thing. Also only a 10 min drive to most beaches.
