Next to the main park, and next to a bus stop. When I arrived, in the check-in, the hostel provided me with a card to travel for free in public transport during my whole stay. The breakfast was simple but enough. Facilities were excellent. The kitchen HUGE. There are lots of lockers for luggage, everything was awesome.

The hotel is in an amazing location and the walk there is very scenic. There is a farmer not too far away who sells amazing local handmade goods at a reasonable price, as well as a gorgeous lookout point. It has an amazing living/dining room area with comfortable sofas, beautiful wooden furniture and a piano you can play. The whole place is very homey, warm and soulful. We both loved the vibes of it! The shared kitchen is very well equipped, it has everything one could possibly need - even a fondue maker! The hosts are also very kind and helpful. They were cheerful, eager to give us recommendations regarding what is worth to see in the region and to help us navigate the town. This place exceeded all out expectations, and if we're lucky enough to go back to Wengen someday, we already know where we're staying :)

Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Debrah owner is super thoughtful, supportive and extremely helpful. She is sincere in caring for my stay, genuinely recommends me of places and activities to go depending on weather. Location is superb for people who value calmness and less touristy places like me. I stayed during the last week of January and it was the most silence I can find in my life. The silence is amazing, you can hear birds chirping, river flowing, wind howling and the bell from church makes the whole tiny town super interesting. I love it.

Reopened in April 2018 after extensive refurbishment and surrounded by a quiet garden with a terrace outdoor chess and morris, this youth hostel in the centre of Bern is just a 5-minute walk from the Swiss Parliament and the Aare River. Free Wi-Fi is available. Wow! This is a wonderful hostel. We have been travelling for about a month staying in hostels and we haven’t stayed anywhere even close to as nice as this place. Great location, about a 15 minute walk from the train station, right across from the river, and close to tourist attractions. Our room was SUPER clean and had a beautiful view of the river. The staff were nice and there is a bar and restaurant on site. We spent one of our nights playing chess in the outdoor chess board and having a beer. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would highly suggest booking here.

Only 1.5 km from the ski lifts, this youth hostel is located in Grindelwald. The sun terrace and the lovely breakfast room have beautiful views of the Bernese Alps. Packed lunches are available.
