Loved the hostel, it’s right in the city center and the office is amazing for what it offers. Had a kitchen for people to cook and it’s just such a nice option for those who want to stay in the city center but save some money. The staff is nice and helpful, special thanks to Olli that helped me in my check in and gave me information about the city. The bathrooms are shared but they are nice and well equipped. Again, just very good offer for the price.

Reopened in April 2018 after extensive refurbishment and surrounded by a quiet garden with a terrace outdoor chess and morris, this youth hostel in the centre of Bern is just a 5-minute walk from the Swiss Parliament and the Aare River. Only 1.5 km from the ski lifts, this youth hostel is located in Grindelwald. The sun terrace and the lovely breakfast room have beautiful views of the Bernese Alps. Packed lunches are available.

All rooms at Youth Hostel Grindelwald have wooden furniture and offer nice mountain views. Very good value for money, perfectly clean and generous breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Exceptional view on the Eiger from our room. Don't miss the cheese fondue :-).
