Debrah owner is super thoughtful, supportive and extremely helpful. She is sincere in caring for my stay, genuinely recommends me of places and activities to go depending on weather. Location is superb for people who value calmness and less touristy places like me. I stayed during the last week of January and it was the most silence I can find in my life. The silence is amazing, you can hear birds chirping, river flowing, wind howling and the bell from church makes the whole tiny town super interesting. I love it.

Reopened in April 2018 after extensive refurbishment and surrounded by a quiet garden with a terrace outdoor chess and morris, this youth hostel in the centre of Bern is just a 5-minute walk from the... Wow! This is a wonderful hostel. We have been travelling for about a month staying in hostels and we haven’t stayed anywhere even close to as nice as this place. Great location, about a 15 minute walk from the train station, right across from the river, and close to tourist attractions. Our room was SUPER clean and had a beautiful view of the river. The staff were nice and there is a bar and restaurant on site. We spent one of our nights playing chess in the outdoor chess board and having a beer. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would highly suggest booking here.
