I have forgotten the owner's name (I apologize) but she was absolutely amazing. So nice, friendly, caring, helpful, etc. I asked about a local beer at dinner and she just gave us one to try, no charge. So friendly! My own teeny tiny issue was the single bed I had for the night was a slat bed and I am a very big person so some of the slats kept popping out so if you are big like me, maybe ask for a room with a double bed. That said, no hotel is 100% perfect but this is as close as it gets if you just want an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay with excellent food for dinner and breakfast, beautiful scenery, and, again, an amazing host who is actively involved and cares about your comfort.

It's beautifully located just outside Disentis centre, the facilities are second to none, COOP on the premises, secure bike storage, bike wash, the rooms with staggered beds, an excellent restaurant on the premises, the breakfast puts some hotels to shame, ... You simply cannot go wrong with the Catrina Hostel as far as I am concerned. I'll be back!
