To provide a more unique piece of comment, when I arrived late, tired and outside of incheck hours, I found the bedsheets presented neatly inside-out. In case we are not familiair with how to make up a bed the easiest way, take the sheets inside-out and shake like crazy. I was tired and I was positively speechless (if I was talking). Never made a bed up so easily in my life, for real. On a more personal experience, Matt really gave me the “Swiss” feeling that other, more touristy places, failed me to provide. I felt comfortable and like at home in the area, but then in Switzerland. I will definitely come back here, to climb the mountain across Matt. I did not have the time for it sadly. Also, ja, Florian, cool dude. The reviews about the host does him right. (Also you get free public transport btw, in the Kanton)

So nice, friendly, caring, helpful, etc. I asked about a local beer at dinner and she just gave us one to try, no charge. So friendly! My own teeny tiny issue was the single bed I had for the night was a slat bed and I am a very big person so some of the slats kept popping out so if you are big like me, maybe ask for a room with a double bed. That said, no hotel is 100% perfect but this is as close as it gets if you just want an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay with excellent food for dinner and breakfast, beautiful scenery, and, again, an amazing host who is actively involved and cares about your comfort.
