Savosa Youth Hostel was an amazing stay for the price in Lugano. Publish Transport is within a few mins of a walk. Availability of Guest Kitchen was an addon.

Very good breakfast. Great location between lakes. Triple room is excellent for kids - large room with nice mountain view. Free parking in safe area.

Montarina is a clean, well managed low-budget hostel in the Heart of Lugano. It is located in a lovely private garden and close to the city center. Recommendable to families with younger children, young couples, singles and aging people who are still young in spirit.

Price/ quality is okay. Tourist tax 4,5 per person per night on top It is indeed one of the cheapest option to stay overnight in Lugano, if you don't want to sleep in a dormitory room. Reachable from the train station. Own bathroom and room is okay to stay a few nights.

Safe area near the city centre of Lugano! Exceptional staff who gave us tips on where to go in Lugano and gave us Ticino tickets to travel the area. Fair, budget option which has a microwave and kettle to use (other facilities require an extra payment of 15 chf). Great that we could also use the laundry room equipped with washing machines and dryers.
