Very friendly family that runs the hotel/hostel. Because it was still low season we got a free upgrade to a better room which is always a nice surprise. The room was very comfortable and the location is fantastic. There is also a lovely little common area where you can watch TV and enjoy a free selection of teas.

Located in Engelberg, 500 metres from the Titlis Rotair Cable Car, Engelberg Youth Hostel features a buffet restaurant and a summer terrace. The staff was very nice and available. Ski resort is not too far (10 mins by foot). Proper youth hostel!

Located right on the shore of the scenic Eugenisee Lake, Pension St. Jakob is 800 metres from the centre of Engelberg and a 5-minute walk from the Engelberg Cable Car. Excellent location. Wonderful lake view. Clean room. Good personal. Not expensive. Excellent.

Value stay in a very expensive country right off the train stop. Booked last minute and was greeted without problems and given instructions on where my room was. Lovely 2 bed room so we did not have to share a room with others. Only shared bathroom facilities down the hall, which is more than fine. A lovely dining area is available to purchase coffee and breakfast if you please.
